This past weekend we decided to take a trip down the Sacramento River on the Hornblower River Cruise. Boarding started promptly 15 minutes before sendoff, and quite honestly, we were surprised by the amount of people on the boat- it was a full house! The Captain gave live narration of the various interesting things to see on the cruise, including the spot where the American and Sacramento Rivers merged, as well as an old shipwreck. We had a relaxing experience on the cruise and would recommend checking it out!
When you have friends or family visiting from out of town, one of the premier spots to take them is Old Sacramento. Old Sacramento offers a lot, honestly, from some of the best restaurants and bars, to unique and quirky shops. Additionally, Old Sacramento connects to one of the most pristine trails, the American River Bike Trail, and is a lovely spot for biking or taking a casual stroll. |
